Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25, 5 – 9pm at Indiana Funeral Care & Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road,            Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 26 at 2pm at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Washington Park East.

Elizabeth “Betty” Payne, 82, of Greenfield passed away November 21, 2014. Betty was born to the late Rev. Alfred and Virginia Beale on December 2, 1931. Betty attended Indiana University where she got her Bachelors in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 35 years during which she got married and had 6 children. Betty was a member of Sunrise at Geist United Methodist Church and loved being outdoors where she spent a lot of time gardening.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Celeste (Dwight) Wheeler, Nancy (James) Quick; sons, Al (Lisa) Moore, Michael (Mary) Moore; brothers, Donald, Delbert, Dallas Johnston; sister, Wanda Johnston; grandchildren, Robert (Teresa), Cherise (Josh), Erin, Brooke, and Molly; great-grandchildren, Josh and Ayden. Betty is preceded in death by a son, Joseph Moore, Jr; daughter, Shirley (Roger) Lovelace; brothers, Lyle and Darrell Johnston; and sister, Edna Tivis.
